In early 2004 we moved our equipment from the great training and show field behind the Continuing Education Center at the Mitchell Community College, 701 West Front Street, Statesville, North Carolina to our new Training and Schutzhund Field at Wayside Elementary School, Salisbury Hwy (US-70), Statesville, NC 28677. We lost our beloved field because of a building expansion at the Mitchell Community College.
Our vice president Wayne Speaks was again successful in locating another perfect training field behind the closed Wayside Elementary School. This Training and Schutzhund Field was previously a baseball field surrounded by trees behind the batting area. In November 2005 the Wayside Elementary School property was sold and became the Wayside Executive Park, 2290 Salisbury Hwy, Statesville, NC 28677. In May 2007 this business was renamed to North Carolina Support Services. On May 14, 2008 North Carolina Support Services sold the property to UAW Local 3520. UAW stands for “UNITED AUTOMOBILE, AEROSPACE AND AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT WORKERS OF AMERICA”
