|Only available on 19 March 2005! |
During our 2005 GSDCA-WDA Regional Conformation Show, Breed Survey and Schutzhund Trial in Statesville, NC on 18-20 March 2005 the GSDCA-WDA and the Carolina German Shepherd Working Dog Club (CGSWDC) will provide Tattoo Certification Services at the show grounds for German Shepherd Dogs (GSD) born in the United States. |
GSDCA-WDA Tattoo and DNA Programs
This Regional Conformation Show is one of the first events in the Eastern part of the USA where the new rules and guidelines for the GSDCA-WDA Tattoo and DNA Programs will be applicable. Usually dog owners are instructed to mail in the paperwork and payment for the tattoo certification to the GSDCA-WDA Office. The GSDCA-WDA has kindly agreed to send a representative to this event to provide the GSDCA-WDA tattoo certification services right at the show grounds. Jane A. Barber, DVM, MS, DACT of Veterinary Specialties at the Lake will be our veterinarian who is performing the required Verification of Tattoo. The CGSWDC is thankful that Jane is offering her services and expertise. Microchip Services are available too.
The Tattoo Certification Service will be very beneficial for all GSD owners and the GSDCA-WDA to have a GSD’s tattoo certified right at the show grounds. GSD owners will be able to complete all necessary steps for the tattoo program without mailing anything right here at the show.
It will allow dog owners (GSDCA-WDA members and non-members) of GSDs, including dogs younger than 12 month, to apply conveniently for the tattoo certification. Please note that the tattoo certification for GSDs under the age of 12 months is not necessarily required when participating in the 2005 GSDCA-WDA Regional Conformation Show. However we recommend to get the tattoo certification done now without the hassle!
We hope, by making such service available right at the show grounds, that this will be appreciated by the GSD owners. We are thankful that GSDCA-WDA and Jane Barber are providing their services during this event.
The Tattoo Certification Services are provided ONLY in the morning of Saturday, March 19, 2005 parallel to the ongoing Breed Survey. To learn more about the GSDCA-WDA Tattoo Certification check the following links and fill out the required forms prior to the arrival at the show grounds to avoid any delays.
